Printmaking allows several opportunities
throughout the process to be inventive and creative.
There is an incredible amount of energy that extends
into the production of a print. It is impossible not
to thrive on this energy because it provokes thought
and stimulation. As the print continues to evolve,
there are many decisions to be made, and as a result,
the process itself influences the content of my
prints.
Currently, the common element throughout my work
is primates, particularly chimpanzees. I incorporate
the chimps to serve as metaphors for the irony, humor,
angst, and hope of humanity.
